Cooking kalakaar

Now this might be the kind of topic every woman loves and is interested in.Then why delay go ahead...and enjoy all the dishes and tips..
I decided to take up cooking the other weekend and it ended up with some sweet relishes and spicy savouries.I first decided to prepare a chocolate truffle cake but later on thought it would be tiresome process and decided to prepare some mouthwatering Indian delicacies.My family is of four,so I prepared accordingly.
This was the list I had in my mind:
Starters:
Baby corn manchurian
Main course:
Butter Naan
Malai Kadai Paneer
Shahi Mushroom curry
Beverages:
Aam ka Panna(BE SURE YOU HAVE THE ICECUBES)

 I first started to prepare the naan dough as it takes a little while for the dough to get ready.For this you just need to put 20 gms of yeast along with a pinch of sugar in little amount of water that usually you take for kneading the dough.Do this first because meanwhile you can finish of with other dishes.Leave it for 5 min and now starting frying the diced paneer for malai kadai paneer.Since I was preparing two curries and that too for just 4 persons ,I have just taken 200gms of paneer packet and that served really good.
     Before I add the recipe I would like to suggest some of the tips:
1.After frying the paneer dont forget to put them in cold water or else they become hard like rocks.
2.And use lot of tissues for straining oil from the paneer as they absorb real amount.
I suggest wahrewah.com recipe as I felt it tastier and better when compared to tarla dalal and sanjeev kapoor

You can infact get many but I felt this is the best ones.

Now for the curry to get done it approximately takes 15-20 min.While the curry's gravy is getting ready,take the yeast water and add that to the 500 gms of maida we have taken and prepare the dough.Add a little amount of butter(=~25gms) ,salt and a little curd to it and a dash of sugar if needed .Wrap it with cold cloth and leave it for a while.

Meanwhile put the fried paneer dices in the gravy and stir a little bit before covering with a lid.Now again knead the dough and wrap it again and put it aside.

                   Now taste the curry and make any finishing touches if required.Remember the paneer pieces absorb a lot of water so let the gravy be a little more watery as it will set by the time everyone's ready on the dinner table.

And for Shahi Mushroom curry you need to peel off the outer skin of the button mushrooms if not fresh or else unpeeled too go well.Now boil the mushrooms for 5 mins in the microwave bowl by adding a little water and then leave until it comes to room temperature.

And while my mom was preparing naans for it I have decided to take up aam ka panna.Now let me tell you in detail how to make these both  as we dint follow any recipes.

Butter Naan Preparation:
After the dough preparation take enough quantity of dough in your hand and take a plastic sheet..put the dough on it and start pressing it flat against the paper make it fat enough unlike paratha/roti/phulka as it tastes better since with maida.Meanwhile switch on the pressure cooker,to let the sides warmed up for frying the naans, as I know most of the south Indians dont have tawas @home.Now put a little water on one side of the prepared flat dough ,and put the face containing the water on the cooker sides.(you can put 3-4 at a time.Put the cooker lid upside down until the sides turn fried with brown spots on'em.Remove it carefully if you have microwave gloves or else with the help of  tongs.Tadaaaaaaan...the butter naans are ready.Serve hot with butter on the top.

Aam ka Panna:
As it is summer season I thought I could prepare this out of fresh green mangoes.
Ingredients:(Serves 4)
Green mangoes-2
Sugar-2 large cups(you can add more if you want)
Cumin powder--1 tbsp
Black peppercorns-7 crushed
Black salt-a pinch
Asafoetida-a pinch

Take a vessel and put some water that's enough to boil the two mangoes.Now after you feel them soft strain the water,peel them and smash them.After you are done with it strain the pulp to avoid any fibres in between.
Now mix all the remaining ingredients well and put it in a blender along with some ice.Whip it lightly and serve chilled with some slice of lemon and mint leaves.

Proposal Day

Does anyone know how embarrassing it will be on the day we get proposals?It was spring..season that I love the most 'cause of the cool breeze and I was at my best friend's house along with our gang making her up for her first proposal .It was fun at first for all of us as it is the first time being present at a friend's proposals with all the make up pallettes and brushes, hair decoratives,accessories,fresh flowers and all the ornaments around me.Aweeeeeeee...it was so colourful.

                      And while we were done with doing the facial makeover and moving over to hairstyling,there comes lavishly a Black Jaguar heading up its paws on the bonet.(i meant about the jaqaur car)heheheh..
We were about to set the flowers and put around a little spray for her hair while her mom knocks the door and asks us to hurry.We all were eager to see the guy but unfortunately the guy dint come..nah nah now dont stop reading...just scroll down to see the climax.

                  No sooner did we get her draped in the saree than  her mother came along with her sister to take her to the hall.She was all trembling as it is the first time for her, something which she had never expected in life to come across, as we all had fantasies of love marriage.

                     And whaaaaat?All of a sudden the guy comes now in a brand new....oohhhh it's just an i10....but yeah a brand new one I must say :P.Even more than my friend were we, all shocked to see his demeanour  and the charm he carried in his face,it just created a spark in all our eyes.We felt she was the most luckiest gal to find him.It's generally she who needs to serve him some snacks but we all fought for the plate to serve him and aaaaahaan I was the one who served him.He was almost near to what we call a prince.After 2 weeks she came to our house and OH WOW!!!!!! A wedding invitation.And they lived happily ever after..Oh you expected more but fortunately its a factual story so could'nt extend by framing up things..

ThE PoEt WiThIn Me!!!!!!

Amazingly this is dedicated to not just for women..but in fact to everyone..right from my KinderGarten i have given a lot of importance for friends that, farewell became the worst part of my life way back from schooling till date.I thought of dedicating few lines for'em which would be the best gift for them.To all the best friends out there,these are few of those creations I recently penned down which I guess would verse well with all the BFFs.

Friends are the ones who never wish to part

A man's myth about a WOMAN

               Are women always interested in shopping,chatting and making up themselves?Dont they have any aim to achieve or aren't they passionate about meeting career perspectives?

                   Yes this is what men feel...But sorry guys this is not how a woman is always preoccupied with.She is in fact an amalgamation of all the wonderful things in this nature and so are her thoughts.They are just not just about "How to look good?","what to wear?"."What to buy?" etc but in fact it's also about her career,future, finding out entrepreneurial ways to live ?How to empower other women and to bring out innovative ways of self employment? etc etc...This is what's said about women by Rashmi Bansal, an IIM-A post graduate who has taken this less trodden path of entrepreneurship and has written many books such as "stay hungry stay foolish","connect the dots","i have a dream","follow your rainbows-(women entrepreneurship)" which clearly depicts the various stints chose by women creating a revolution in this era by achieving heights in the world of business.

               We have seen lot of Indian women featured in the Fortune's magazine fulfilling Rahul Gandhi's ambition of women empowerment...the only thing this great man knows.We have Chandha Kochar,Naina Lal Kidwai,Indra nooyi etc and many famous business leaders who have mesmerized the Indian women's world by making outstanding achievements and establishing a brand name of their own.

      I wish this empowerment to be contagious and take every woman what she desires and aspires to be.

The magical Lure of the beauty world!!!!!!!!!!!

I always had a never ending love for all the beauty segments and that made my wardrobe get filled with much wanted and also much of non sensical beauty goodies.I wish few among them are those which every woman who has the love for cosmetics would love to have,and infact I also wanted to make sure every woman just not chooses the best products but also uses it safely with required precautions.So here is my post that carries the feel of a journey of all the above.

My wardrobe collection:

1.Bobbi brown lipstick--rosy pink

This is one of the best brands ever praised in the cosmetic industry.The suppleness it adds to my lips is very appealing that i fell in love with my lips.All these three need to be used with a little gloss over them as they dont provide much of a party gloss.I have a medium fair complexion and hence these pinks suite me a lot rather than dark colours.These seem to be almost all the same colour but when applied have quite a noticeable difference in the shade.Bobbi's known natural look makeup is best carried with these shades and thus make me crave for'em.


Most of my products include Bobbi brown for the natural radiance and charisma it brings on my face imparting a fresh look which stays on for hours without any kind of rash or itch on my face.

2.Bobbi brown spf 25 tinted moisturizing foundation--Light to medium

                   This is one of  the best foundation formula i can ever use on my face its such a light soothing and smoothing creme formula that makes me use comfortably without any need of a brush.The warmness your finger provides for blending it is just enough for experiencing the awesome texture of this tinted foundation which adds a delicate glow that gives a extra natural look making you fall in love with your skin like never.
I dont use it to office but yes i do use it for parties after giving my skin a dash of primer.


3.Bobbi brown Compact powder--skin foundation mineral powder--light to medium

 
         This glycerin and extenders treated mineral powder adds on to my top list of products from bobbi brown which adds a finishing touch diminishing all the imperfections on my skin adding an absolutely looks
perfect adding a natural look again which never looks made up


4. Jovan white musk Perfume

 
             The aroma and sweet fragrance it adds to the air around me amuses me always with the richness it contains and makes me feel fresh for hours.I use this as an everyday wear and it is not pungent or strong.And it is the best I can suggest for women.

5.Colorbar Eyeliner Sketch--Jet black

                     
          This jet black eyeliner is just above perfect for my big black eyes.The color is simply awesome smudge free and never fades at least for the whole day. The bold blackness it carries is simply a perfect finish that highlights your eyes and makes everyone feel "wish they had such".It is easy to glide-on even for novices who barely have any practice of eye-lining their eyes and even for a professional.I feel sorry for not getting this in Bobbi brown.

6.Bobbi brown Mascara--Black(obviously)

As I have beautiful long , curly, black lashes I generally dont use a mascara or even a lash curler but if I have to use one I would suggest Bobbi Brown as far as the curl and quality is concerned.And i generally do not recommend lash curler as I have seen the curl it adds is not so noticeable.

7.Bobbi brown makeup remover--Last but the most important thing to be done after the party
   

These are the only products I use though for a party or on a daily look except for the tinted moisturising foundation which I replace with Bobbi Brown's bb cream for daily wear and apart from that it's just the eye-shades and intensity of gloss  I change depending on the occasion. But let me add a list of tips I learnt from my experience.


Tips:

1.Lipstick worn on a moisture tend to hold on to lips for a long time and makes lips look supple and soft.
   
After cleaning your lips with cotton ball dipped in cleansing milk just apply a little moisturiser(I use johnson's baby milk cream and people might really laugh at it but after using you will be endorsing it along with me)After you get the soft feel of your lips just glide the lipstick on your lips (I apply directly as use of brush can be best done only by a professional)now just smooch your lips and apply another coat if needed and gloss it only after you have finished all your makeup and are ready to leave for the party.  


2.Apply a little Mac eyebrow set --clear on your brows after applying eyebrow pencil as it makes your eyebrows a little shinier,holds them perfectly well and highlights them which adds to your overall beauty.

3.Never try to apply primer before a moisturizer--Many do think that one of them will suffice as a base but actually you need both at least for a combinational skin.This is really important as it is the first step in the process of a makeover.Do apply a little Johnson's baby milk cream and then let it dry before you apply a primer.Then give your skin a touch of primer and let that too dry before you apply your foundation cream.

Women's Fantasy

That was the time when I was determined to come here with heaps of ideas and belly crackers to see my blog as one of the top blogs viewed.And my inner heart wanted to start with women,fashion and beauty.
and I start with something fascinating like you felt about the blogpost's title.

Before I have started writing blogs(I have written two prior to this) I had always wanted to write about my experiences in fantasizing people i liked.Having  met many people few I felt very close,few as someone with whom I can share all my miseries,and few who deliberately tried hurting me making me stronger and stronger after that and few I always dreamt about(yeah you guessed it right).

Fantasizing I feel is one of the best moments that indeed gives you lots of energy to express thoughts in the most appealing way possible.

I had love stories right from my schooling..which infact many do have but mine were little strange...thoda hatke I can say..:P.This was my first love story which went on for few years but he knew me as a very good friend to share things..to lighten his heart.
   
                    Everyone used to call him Abhinav or abhi except for me who would call AV(combining first and last latters)He was a north Indian and we used to travel all the way to school and back to home together as we were staying in the same colony.We both were already in teens probably 13 or 14 years.,which is the most easily affected age for teens to fall in love(especially at first sight).But I liked him not the way I like boys now but in a way which many felt quite sweet..quite juvenile.
                     
                  We used to spend time at home practicing a lot of math and I need to thank him for the little unique approaches he made me take to understand math with all my brains.Rain is always the best part for kids and it was apparent for us too.He used to like me very much coz i was the one who used to love whatever he does without pointing out like others which he hated.His was the most beautiful handwiriting you can ever find among boys and mine was always compared to him by my mom which used to suck urghhhhhh "Man mine was good too...!!!!!!!!".He remained the class topper the whole year and that was the year he was awarded the "National Science Talent Olympiad --Gold medal"..awwwwww that moment I dunno how precious it was for him but it was for me because I became the first person to him to share his happiness with.                
          For few years after that, we studied together in the same school but to my heart he was nothing more than a bestfriend and I realized it's not love but the unwinding importance teens give away each other.We parted to different ways in our careers and never could we meet later on.
